In a season that has shown the Riverbank varsity Lady Bruins their share of bad breaks, nothing has changed throughout the season for the determined group of players in the effort department.

Throughout the section there have been a host of girls basketball players who for one reason or another have failed to continue on throughout the entire season. Not so in Riverbank.

This season's Lady Bruins have fought and clawed over the past four months to grow as a team as well as individual players. The girls have battled hard, getting a win on the season, but still looking for a TVL victory. The final win-loss record, however, is not why these girls are in the gym. They show up out of love for the game.

"This is just a great group of girls," head coach Corey Edmiston said. "They do what they need to do in the classroom, they always come to practice and they work really hard. We started off the season a little behind, so we have always focused on the process rather than the end result."

Riverbank suffered a pair of losses in recent Trans-Valley League action. One came at the hands of the Ripon Indians, who outscored the Lady Bruins 62-15 in the loss.
