Riverbank High School’s football team didn’t play this past Friday, having a bye in their schedule, but will return to the field this week. They will be in action at Angelo Novi Field on Friday, Sept. 16, celebrating the Homecoming Game against Valley Christian Academy from Roseville.

The Homecoming Week festivities were to begin on Monday on the RHS campus, with daily activities, dress up days, float decorating and more. The Powder Puff game is scheduled for Thursday evening, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.

Friday will be highlighted with a parade downtown starting at 2:10 p.m. and kickoff for the football game – featuring the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and King at halftime – is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Lady Bruin Volleyball

Riverbank girls volleyball got serious last week, with the beginning of Trans-Valley League play. RHS hosted Ripon’s Lady Indians on Tuesday, Sept. 6, falling 3-0, swept by the tough Ripon team. They also faced a similar result when they welcomed Hughson’s Lady Huskies, losing 3-0 as well, last Wednesday.

This past Monday, Sept. 12, Riverbank was to travel to Escalon to take on the Lady Cougars, then return home to welcome Livingston on Wednesday evening.
