Two more schools and the same results for the Riverbank High tennis program as they remained unbeaten with a dominant 6-1 performance over Ripon High in Trans-Valley League action on Friday, March 14.
The Bruins received another impressive outing from senior leader Danny Geren who won with ease 6-2 in his final set after posting a 7-6 (7-5 tiebreak) win in his opening set to take the match, 2-0.
The girls were led by the pleasing play of Raquel Medina. Medina had little trouble in her workout, winning 6-3 and 6-2 in her action against Ripon High. The Bruins have put together an impressive opening to the 2008 season and will look to make a nice run through the tough TVL schedule.
The doubles team of Matt Nelson and Steven Caton had little challenge in their 6-0, 6-0 wins, setting the table for the Bruins' No. 2 doubles squad who didn't disappoint either.
EJ Rowe and Justin Rowe followed suit, blasting the Ripon No. 2 doubles squad 6-0 and 6-0.
