Immediately following graduation exercises to wrap up the school year, Riverbank High School track and cross country coach Monte Wood took time to catch up with a couple of his graduating senior runners at the RHS stadium. Wood wanted to present a couple of team awards to them before they scattered to the winds of their newly graduated freedom. Wood presented the All-Bruin Award to Gianni Sotelo. Also, Wood awarded the Bruin-Built honor to Adan Salgado. Normally, the school hosts its sports awards nights at the conclusion of each season, but this COVID year scrambled schedules and prevented indoor gatherings, so Coach Wood tracked down his athletes at their high school graduation ceremony.
