In the only girls' varsity basketball game played last week, the Bruins overwhelmed Gustine by 54-22.
Riverbank piled on the points in the opening quarter to the tune of 21-6, eased off to take the second period only, 8-5, but returned to the charge with an 18-4 third quarter.
Jeanette Moya hit high points of 18 for Riverbank, followed by Sonia Naranjo with 11. Monica Cardenas chalked up nine points; Courtney Brock, eight; Chelsi Walls, four; and Julissa Perez and Katie Gettling, two each.
Cardenas hit Riverbank's only 3-pointer. The Bruins were successful with nine out of 11 attempts from the foul line.
Now 2-4 for the season, the Riverbank girls are not scheduled to take the floor again until after Christmas when they will participate in the four-day Tracy Tournament starting on Dec. 27
