The season arrives soon for the Riverbank Swim Team, with tryouts set for Saturday, May 11.

It’ll all start at 10 a.m., but organizers say those who are already on the team won’t have to try out again.

All swimmers must be able to swim the distance of the pool with a freestyle stroke, unassisted, and maintain any other skills required by the swim team coach.

A swim suit and goggles must be purchased. There will be more information along with order forms for team shirts at the mandatory parents meeting, set for May 20 at 6 p.m. in the Community Center.

The registration deadline is May 25 at 5 p.m., either online or in the Parks and Recreation Department office.

Practice begins at the Community Pool on June 3 and runs through July 26.

Recreational swimming also begins on June 3 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.
