La Séptima Banda will be heating up the stage locally this summer.

The Stanislaus County Fair welcomes La Séptima Banda on Sunday, July 15. The performance, hosted by La Favorita radio, will take place on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. and is free with the price of Fair admission.

“Anticipation for our concerts is always high,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “And bringing in a Latin Grammy-nominated, well-known band like La Séptima Banda will only make everyone that much more excited!”

The 17-piece group is one of the most influential bands in Regional Mexican Music and is considered to be “La Banda del Momento” (“The Band of the Moment”). La Séptima Banda plays a variety of regional Mexican music, from bandas and cumbias to rancheras and narcocorridos. The band is known for its amazing records, such as “Que Tonteria.”

Recently, they launched a new album titled “Making Noise,” which has placed them as one of the favorites of the genre. This album demonstrates the musical style that has given much popularity to La Séptima Banda. In turn, such authenticity has allowed the band to be one of the Sinaloan groups with the most followers. On July 15, those who are part of that following will be able to experience firsthand what “The Band of the Moment” is all about.

The 2018 Stanislaus County Fair opens Friday, July 13 for a 10-day run. Discounted Fair admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands, and the Fair season pass are now on sale. Visit the Fair’s website for upcoming ticket sale information at www.stancofair.com.

The 2018 Fair will feature a spectacular children’s area presented by Sky Trek Aviation.
