Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance (OSPA), in partnership with City of Oakdale Animal Shelter, welcomes the community to attend the Shelter Open House on Saturday, May 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; the shelter is at 9800 Liberini Avenue, Oakdale, off River Road.

This will be a perfect opportunity to view the beautiful results of the Love Oakdale shelter play yard project.

To commemorate “National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day,” OSPA is sponsoring $50 adoption fees for dogs/cats. If you already have a dog or cat, be sure to bring them, as OSPA is offering free microchips to the first 30 pet guardians who visit the shelter and request one.

Spend some time on Saturday with shelter pets and enjoy some treats, with free hot dogs, courtesy of the Oakdale Raley’s, available to all visitors. Save room for ice cream and refreshing beverages because Milk & Sugar Creamery will be offering ice cream, lattes, and lemonades for purchase.

If your fur baby is in need of a ‘pawdicure’ Niki’s Play & Stay will be providing complimentary pawdicures with a donation to OSPA.

Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance (OSPA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2012 to help the unhoused dogs/cats at the City of Oakdale Animal Shelter. Dedicated to saving and improving the lives of unhoused pets from the communities of Oakdale, Riverbank and Escalon, OSPA appreciates the community’s support and encourages everyone to come visit them at the Shelter Open House on May 2.
