Melissa Ann Walter, 57, of Riverbank died Sunday, Sept. 30 at Oak Valley Hospital, Oakdale.
She was a native of Mount Vernon, Ohio, born on July 26, 1950.
Ms. Walter had her own hair salon in San Francisco for several years. She also worked as a travel agent in Hawaii. In Modesto, she worked at the Doubletree and more recently, was attending San Joaquin Valley College.
She is survived by her husband, Lou Larson; mother, Laura Walter; half-sister, Suzi Andrews; half-brother, Terry Walter; and nieces, Heather and Debbie Walter.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Walter and brother, Brian Walter.
Her family extends their thanks to the staff at Oak Valley Hospital for their loving care.
Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Humane Society, or a charity of the donor's choice.
