Robertine "Robbie" Mirzapour of Riverbank did a little victory dance before stepping into a 1977 classic Corvette at a promotion staged by County Bank in the Crossroads.
Founded in the same year of 1977, the bank is celebrating its 30th anniversary by giving away the classic car. Mirzapour did not win the vehicle on Friday but she did win a chance to compete for it against 29 other winners, one from each bank branch contest, at the Merced finals on Oct. 27.
In Riverbank, she was the last in line of 26 bank customers (four failed to show up) who had drawn a key to try in the door of the gleaming sports car.
