Stanislaus County Chief Executive Officer Jody Hayes recently announced the promotion of Deputy Executive Officer, Tina Rocha, to Assistant Executive Officer. Ms. Rocha will serve under CEO Hayes and will oversee the Focus on Prevention initiative, Economic Development, and several County departments. Rocha brings with her 25 years of public agency leadership, with expertise in operations, special taxing districts, and complex development projects.

“It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Ms. Tina Rocha as Stanislaus County’s new Assistant Executive Officer,” said CEO Hayes. “Tina has been an integral part of the County’s senior leadership team for four years and has demonstrated the ability to manage critical and complex systems such as housing needs, homelessness, and community services.”

She previously worked in Community and Economic Development for both Stanislaus County and the City of Modesto.

Rocha will have an ongoing role working with community partners and system leaders for large scale impact projects, including Stanislaus 2030. Raised in Stanislaus County, she is familiar with the people and issues affecting the community. Rocha is a graduate of the University of California, Davis.

She will assume many of the responsibilities formerly held by Raul Mendez, who was recently appointed to serve as Merced County’s Chief Executive Officer.
