The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27 and 28 in Oakdale; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, March 16 through Monday, March 22. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, MARCH 22

Weekly apparatus maintenance was completed at all fire stations.

6:33 p.m. – Modesto Fire Department and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 108 and Adams Gravel Plant Road. Crews arrived on scene to find a single vehicle accident with one occupant in the vehicle.

 

SATURDAY, MARCH 20

Water Rescue assisted a stranded boater at Woodward Reservoir.

 

THURSDAY, MARCH 18

The Fire Chief addressed the shift on department updates.

Crews completed prop construction for upcoming fire academy drills.

 

TUESDAY, MARCH 16

Modesto Fire Department Technical Rescue Team conducted monthly training at the RFTC.

Chief Ernst addressed the shift this afternoon regarding COVID.

1:25 p.m. – MCS responded to a non-injury accident on Langworth Road. One vehicle struck a power pole.
