Public Intoxication, Arson Arrests Made

Riverbank Police Services dealt with a DUI, public intoxication, and arson over the past few days. Listed are some details of those calls.

In the very early morning hours on Sunday, May 2, deputies located a vehicle with the driver passed out behind the wheel near Claus Road and Santa Fe Street. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Deputies were dispatched to the report of a female passed out around Howard Avenue and Callander Avenue just after 12 p.m. on Friday, April 30. A 54-year-old woman was arrested for public intoxication.

On Wednesday, April 28 in the morning, deputies observed smoke coming from underneath the Stanislaus River Bridge. When deputies investigated they located a 25-year-old man standing next to the burn. The fire department responded and extinguished the grass fire before it spread. The subject was arrested for arson.
