Deputies serving the City of Action responded to several calls during the past week including multiple petty thefts and several vehicle accidents.

On Monday, Nov. 21 at 1:10 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a hit and run accident on Terminal Avenue and Kentucky Avenue. An unknown vehicle ran into a construction fence and fled the scene.

At 6:58 a.m. on Monday, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Oakdale Road and Gallery Road on a single vehicle non-injury accident.

Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Patterson Road for a two vehicle non-injury accident on Monday at 7:38 a.m.

On Sunday, Nov. 20 at 11:35 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Roselle Avenue and Patterson Road on a vehicle accident. One of the involved parties complained of pain but refused an ambulance.

At 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, deputies were dispatched to 2200 block of Claribel Avenue on a non-injury accident.

Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Patterson Road and Claus Road on a vehicle that high centered on the center divider on Sunday at 8:17 p.m. The driver, a 49-year-old woman, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested.

On Sunday at 8:55 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Carl’s Jr on Patterson Road on a battery complaint. The suspect was gone when deputies arrived. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7:15 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a vehicle accident with injuries in the 6400 block of Eighth Street. The 22-year-old male driver was found to have crashed his vehicle into a parked car. The man was found to be under the influence of alcohol and had two outstanding warrants for DUI. He was arrested for DUI and transported to county jail.

At 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the report of a hit and run traffic collision with injuries, in the 6500 block of Eighth Street. The suspect, identified by police as Alfredo Casas, 63, fled the scene and was later located at his house. Casas was subsequently arrested for felony hit and run.

On Saturday at 2:33 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a petty theft at Target. The investigation is ongoing.

At 3:56 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, with injuries, at the intersection of Oakdale Road and Patterson Road.

During the afternoon on Saturday at 5:38 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a petty theft at Target. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies responded to the report of a disturbance in the 5400 block of Green Oaks Drive on Saturday at 11:52 p.m. A 28-year-old woman was subsequently arrested following the investigation and transported to county jail.

On Friday, Nov. 18 at 12:40 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a disturbance in the 3500 block of Sierra Street. A 38-year-old man was found in front of a residence, under the influence of a stimulant narcotic, unable to care for himself. He was arrested for public intoxication and booked at county jail.

At 6 a.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, property damage only, in the 3200 block of Patterson Road.

On Friday morning at 8:20 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a hit and run traffic collision, property damage only, in the 2800 block of Patterson Road.

Deputies responded to the report of a subject down at the Crossroads Shopping Center on Friday at 1 p.m. A 29-year-old man was found under the influence of a controlled substance, unable to care for himself. He was also found in possession of a controlled substance and booked at county jail.

During the afternoon on Friday at 5:15 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a strong arm robbery in the 3500 block of Atchison Street. The victim was struck on the back of the head and his cellphone was taken. The suspect got into a vehicle and drove away. The investigation is ongoing.

At 6 p.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of an accident, with injuries, in the 3500 block of Kentucky Avenue.

During the afternoon on Thursday at 4 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a disturbance at the intersection of Prince Edward Lane and Townsend Avenue. The investigation is ongoing.

On Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 8:33 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 2400 block of Stanislaus Street on a non-injury accident.
