The Riverbank Parks and Recreation Department has announced its next iteration of the Dia de los Muertos celebration. Scheduled a little later than usual this year, it is set for Friday, Nov. 3 at the Plaza del Rio Park downtown, on Third Street, between Santa Fe and Topeka streets. It’ll run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and is designed to gather, remember and celebrate family members. The event will feature a Catrin/Catrina contest, altars, food, music, a performance by Ballet Folklorico, a Kids Corner, and other entertainment, including a showing of the movie Coco, beginning at 6 p.m. For more information, contact Parks and Rec officials at 209-863-7150.
