DOWNTOWN DOINGS
tamale

Typical of the vendors participating in the Riverbank Farmers Market each week, there are many prepared foods available to patrons who visit downtown on Tuesday evenings. Ranging from hot dogs to tamales, tacos to kettle corn, and even cookies for desert, shoppers are able to find something to satisfy their hunger there. In addition, beverages of several types are waiting to satisfy their thirst. In addition to foodstuffs, the weekly summer market often features vendors selling plants and herbs, and arts and crafts, along with fruits and vegetables grown on local farms. The market is held on Tuesday evenings, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Santa Fe Street downtown, between Third and Fourth streets. Booths are also included in the adjacent Plaza del Rio Park.
