Hungry but happy diners were everywhere one looked at Saturdays crab feed put on by the Bruins Boosters. Those not interested in the crab could eat tasty tri-tip steak instead. Everywhere one looked, satisfied crab eaters could be seen at the Riverbank Community Center this past Saturday evening.

The occasion was the annual fundraiser hosted by the Bruins Boosters, an organization of mostly parents, mobilized to help fund equipment needed for Riverbank High School’s athletic teams, as well provide scholarships for graduating RHS seniors.

In addition to the scrumptious crab, those who weren’t interested in seafood but still wanted to participate and support the Boosters enjoyed tri-tip steak, which was offered this year as an alternative to the crab.

Along with the meal, diners could participate in prize drawings through part of the evening, followed by dancing into the night to music spun by a local DJ.

In addition the annual crab event, the Boosters man the snack bar when it’s open during sports events at the high school. They also help out with Senior Night festivities for the RHS sports teams, and provide snacks during the seasonal Sports Awards nights at the high school.
