For the past four years, the City of Riverbank’s Parks and Recreation Department has celebrated the teens in the community with an afternoon filled with activities and fun called Teen Fest. This year the event will be held at the Teen Center in Riverbank on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. for teens between the ages of 13 to 18. All in the age group are invited and there is no cost to attend.

SpecOps was a hit last year with the youth with the Bumperz and Archery Tag, which will both be back this year along with a photo booth, a DJ, dance competitions, informational booths, a K-9 unit, prizes and more.

City Parks and Rec staff will be manning the grills during the day as well, ready to serve up hot dogs, chips and soda on a first come, first serve basis for those who work up an appetite taking part in the various activities.

City officials said it’s a day designed to celebrate the local youths and bring them out for a day of fun at the Teen Center, adjacent to the Community Center on Santa Fe.

All teens in the community are invited to enjoy this free day of amusement with their peers courtesy of the Parks and Recreation Department.
