The City of Riverbank has again scheduled the annual Christmas Crafts Faire, Parade and Tree Lighting ceremony for the weekend after Thanksgiving.

This year’s theme is ‘Walking in a Winter Wonderland.’

The Crafts Faire is scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday, Nov. 30, on Third Street, between City Hall North and the Plaza del Rio Park. It routinely continues through the afternoon until after the parade awards are announced.

The Parade is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. and usually winds from the Community Center down Santa Fe Street, past the city halls and turning south on Second Street. Turning again on Stanislaus Street, the parade returns east to the Community Center to disband.

Since the parade is after dark, entrants are asked to use some form of lighting on entries.

Awards are to be announced just before the ceremonial tree lighting at Plaza del Rio Park, with the Crafts Faire continuing after the parade.

Those interested in entering the parade or becoming a crafts vendor should contact the city’s Parks and Recreation Department at 209-863-7150 for more information.

Entry forms for both events can be found on the city’s website, http://www.riverbank.org/498/Christmas-Parade-Craft-Fair.
