Authorities reported that what first appeared to be a major injury accident on Saturday, Nov. 4 around 5 p.m. in the 2300 block of Patterson Road, west of Estelle involving two vehicles, resulted only in relatively minor injuries. The accident is currently under investigation by MAIT. Authorities reported that a female passenger in one vehicle was taken to Doctors Hospital for minor injuries. The male driver of the other vehicle went to Kaiser to get checked out for injuries as a precautionary measure.
The MAIT (major accident investigation) team covers all contracted cities in Stanislaus County when there is a serious injury accident or one involving fatalities. Team members were on scene for about five hours.
