A downtown Riverbank insurance agent celebrated a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at her Santa Fe Street office on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

Agent Lana Clayton was front and center to cut the ribbon in front of her Farmers Insurance Agency office, surrounded by a crowd of well-wishers, including representatives of local elected officials, members of the Central Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Riverbank Chamber of Commerce, family and friends.

After the ribbon was cut, she invited her guests inside for refreshments.

Inside, certificates of recognition were presented to Clayton by representatives of elected officials, including Riverbank City Council member Cal Campbell, and from Assembly members, Senators and Congressman Jeff Denham.

The Farmers Insurance office is at 3313 Santa Fe, immediately adjacent to the Plaza del Rio Park. Her building has the Jacob Myers Park mural on the exterior wall.

Clayton is currently a board member of the local Chamber of Commerce and is active in the Riverbank Historical Society, whose museum is just a block away down Santa Fe Street.
