Memorial Day symbolizes so much more than just a three-day weekend – but sometimes it’s easy to forget the true purpose of this holiday when busy making plans for the summer ahead. In commemoration, the City of Riverbank will be presenting a Memorial Day ‘Salute to Our Heroes’ to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice of themselves; to pay tribute to those living who have served; and to honor those currently serving to protect our nation and our freedom.

All in the community are invited to join with city officials to honor veterans on Monday, May 29 at 11:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Wall in front of the Community Center, 3600 Santa Fe St., Riverbank. Activities will include guest speakers, prayer, Presentation of Colors, laying of a wreath at the wall, music, and light refreshments.
