Poll Worker Training Set

Volunteers 18 or older who are registered California voters can become part of the election process by serving as Poll Workers on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018. Bilingual Poll Workers fluent in English and Spanish, Khmer, Punjabi or Assyrian are needed. Poll Workers play an important role and perform a wide range of duties including opening the polls, setting up voting equipment, issuing official ballots and assisting voters. Poll Workers will receive a $95 stipend, which includes serving on Election Day from approximately 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and a mandatory two-hour training class. The training class provides an overview of the Election Day process and hands-on equipment instruction.

Classes are offered in Modesto, Oakdale, Salida and Turlock from Oct. 16 through Oct. 27.
