PREP WORK
ATT pix

A three-man crew works on re-routing telephone lines near the BNSF railroad crossing of Patterson Road. Workers, two in aerial buckets and one on the ground, wrestle with the cables necessary to move service over to new poles to the north of the road, on what is now warehouse property. The changes are necessary in preparation for the beginning of road widening work due early next year that will include a stoplight at the intersection with Roselle Avenue to the west. Officials have said it will synchronize with the railroad crossing guard equipment to help relieve congestion when trains travel through town.
