Riverbank Police Services Schedules Junior Academy

Middle schoolers in the Riverbank area can participate in a new summer program this summer, sponsored by Riverbank Police Services and Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson.

Sign-ups are being taken now for Junior Police Academy, scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon each day, from Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29. It will be held at the Police Services Substation at 6727 Third St., downtown Riverbank.

To qualify, students must have completed the past school year in grades 6, 7, or 8 with a “C” average or better. A copy of their report card must accompany the application. And, they must have had no past criminal contact with law enforcement.

There is no cost to attend.

Applications, Code of Conduct contract and Release of Liability are all due at the police services office by Friday, July 8 at 5 p.m. to attend. They can be submitted by mail or in person.
