Riverbank High School teacher Christine Perez organized a prom fashion show for the RHS students on Friday, March 8 at lunchtime in the quad. The RHS Prom will be on Saturday, April 13 at the Del Rio Country Club from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are currently on sale and are $60 for a couple or $45 for a single person.

There were vendors that set up booths and the Men’s Wearhouse provided the suits for the gentlemen to model for the event. The shop is offering a discount and will give back $5 to the school for every rental that is purchased from their store for the upcoming prom. Dave Brown with Eclipse Limousine parked a SUV Limo in the quad so that the students could see what they offer. A representative from Planet Beach spa set up a booth to offer the student’s discounts on spray tans and had a sample of a moisturizing lotion. She also had some slips the students could fill out for a free giveaway. Ana Paula Roveroni with Hair Designs by Paula was also there to give students an option for getting their hair done on the special day.

There were several examples of different suits and a variety of dresses that the model students previewed. Perez said she is hoping to get the students excited about the prom and indicated the prom preview may have helped do the trick.
