Trio Of Residential Burglars Arrested
COP1

Arrests made by Riverbank Police saw some property recovered from residential burglaries in the city.

On Tuesday, March 22 Riverbank Police Services arrested three suspects, Javier Arcos, 19, of Modesto; Gerardo Fernandez, 21, of Ceres; and Arturo Morales-Meza, 21, of Modesto in connection with a burglary. At approximately 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning on the 3400 block of Novi Drive, citizens reported a burglary that had just occurred. They gave deputies the vehicle description of a black Mercedes with 20” rims. A Riverbank Deputy returning from Modesto located the car and pulled it over. Witnesses identified all the subjects in the vehicle and they were arrested and booked for residential burglary.

Shortly after the call was completed another citizen arrived at their residence in the 6000 block of Jackson and discovered their home had been broken into as well. The deputy who investigated the first call was present and had seized an iPod from the vehicle in the previous incident prior to having it towed. The victim in the Jackson call described an iPod that she was missing. The deputy showed her the one he had recovered, which she positively identified. The detectives rebooked all three subjects from the previous call for another count of residential burglary.
