Concha Fernandez, 99, of Modesto died Monday, Oct. 4 at her home.
A native of Mexico, she lived in Oakdale for 25 years prior to moving to Modesto 25 years ago. She was a homemaker. She belonged to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Fred Fernandez, Jr. of Modesto, John Fernandez of Riverbank, Louie Bugarin of Modesto, Leonardo Bugarin of Nevada, Florence Fernandez of Modesto, Ruby Cassidy of Riverbank and Eva Valverde of Oakdale; 29 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren.
Rosary was said on Thursday, Oct. 7. Mass was said on Friday, Oct. 8 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial followed at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery. Visitation was held.
