Harold Charles 'Chuck' Pittel, 86, died Tuesday, Jan. 25 at his Oakdale home.
He was a native of Chicago, Illinois. He lived in Oakdale for 50 years.
Mr. Pittel served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He belonged to the 463rd Bomb Group and was a member of the Oakdale VFW.
He was in the insurance business for 49 years.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Pittel of Oakdale; children, Scott Pittel of Riverbank, Donald Pittel, Charles Pittel, both of Oakdale, Lynnae Pittel-Badal of Turlock; sister, Marjorie Pittel-Hayes of Illinois; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park.
