James Robert Adams, 74, died Thursday, Aug. 20 at his Oakdale home.
He was a native of Oklahoma and lived in Oakdale for 47 years.
Mr. Adams was a postal carrier for 25 years.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a lifelong member of the V.F.W.
Survivors include his children, Karen Adams of Oakdale, David Adams of Riverbank, Paula Robinson of Utah; sister, Inez Frisk of Missouri; brother, Dan Quinton of Wyoming; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.
