SUNDAY, MAY 3
2:17 a.m. – Deputies investigated a possible DUI driver in the 2600 block of Silver Bell.
3:51 a.m. – Investigation by deputies into a hit and run vehicle collision at Callander and Topeka.
3:32 p.m. – Vehicle collision investigation by deputies in the 5200 block of Squire Wells.
3:50 p.m. – Report of a missing person in the 2800 block of Turpin. The missing person returned home after being contacted by deputies.
5:23 p.m. – Deputies stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation in the 2500 block of Rose Hill. One adult male was arrested for DUI. He was issued a citation and released to a family member after signing a promise to appear.
6:25 p.m. – Family fight investigation at Roselle and Glow.
6:50 p.m. – Theft investigation by deputies at Target. One adult female was arrested for the theft. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
7:52 p.m. – Deputies observed a vehicle doing donuts and burning out in the 2400 block of Claribel. The vehicle was stopped, the driver was arrested for reckless driving and the vehicle was towed. The driver was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
SATURDAY, MAY 2
4:28 a.m. – Report of a found child in the 6500 block of Jackson; deputies responded and the child was reunited with parents.
1:19 p.m. – Deputies investigated a theft at Target. One female adult was arrested for the theft. She was issued a citation and released after signing a promise to appear.
2:28 p.m. – Hit and run vehicle collision investigation in the 2000 block of Claribel.
11:31 p.m. – Deputies investigated a family fight in the 2600 block of Silver Bell. One adult male and one adult female were arrested, transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
FRIDAY, MAY 1
11:17 a.m. – Family disturbance investigation in the 5800 block of Barger Court.
4:33 p.m. – Deputies investigated a theft from Target. An adult female was arrested for shoplifting. The female was released with a citation.
6:08 p.m. – Investigation into a report of a hit and run with injuries involving a vehicle vs. a pedestrian in the 2700 block of Patterson Road. Deputies determined the incident was an intentional act and quickly identified the responsible vehicle. The information was passed to nearby agencies. Officers with the Oakdale Police Department were able to locate the responsible vehicle. Deputies responded and took the driver into custody. The female driver was also determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and DUI. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
THURSDAY, APRIL 30
10:15 a.m. – Deputies investigated a non-injury hit and run collision in the parking lot of Target. The party responsible was determined to be a subject riding a bicycle. He was located and issued a citation.
2:20 p.m. – Theft investigation at Burlington. An adult female was arrested for theft with prior convictions. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
5:38 p.m. – Deputies investigated a fraudulent purchase in the 2200 block of Claribel Road.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29
10:30 a.m. – Deputies investigated a family disturbance in the 7000 block of Royal Links Drive. An adult male was arrested for battery and a restraining order violation. He was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
9:50 p.m. – Traffic stop conducted by deputies for vehicle code violations at Callander Avenue and Stanislaus Street. The driver, and adult female, was found to be driving under the influence. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
11:26 p.m. – Deputies investigated a report of a subject causing a public nuisance in the 2800 block of Topeka Street. An adult male was contacted and determined to be drunk in public and unable to care for himself. He was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS:
On May 1, Riverbank deputies assisted with providing an escort for members of Law Enforcement United. The group is part of a national organization who rides their bicycles across the country in remembrance of fallen law enforcement officers. The group of approximately 15 riders travels approximately 800 miles over eight days. They traveled on May 1 from San Francisco to San Joaquin County, into Stanislaus County, and later into Merced County. They were escorted to Lakewood Memorial, where they met with families of local fallen officers and deputies.
