Stanislaus Animal Services Agency is getting ready to host ‘Woofstock’, a day filled with free adoptions, entertainment, and activities for pet lovers of all ages.

There will be free dog and cat adoptions; you can find your new furry friend at no cost. The event is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Stanislaus Animal Services Agency, 3647 Cornucopia Way in Modesto.

There will also be dozens of vendors offering a variety of products and services and attendees can enjoy the live music performances of FunkHaus and Aware.

Also planned, a Halloween-themed trunk-or-treat for both pets and their owners.

An Open House will be offered at the animal shelter so you can visit the animals. No tickets are required, just bring the family and enjoy the day. Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome to attend as well.

At a time when the countywide shelter is overflowing with dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens, Woofstock is the perfect occasion to welcome a new companion into your home. Pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities will be available for adoption.
