The Oakdale Morning Market celebrated its inaugural season finale on Saturday, Sept. 30, wrapping up 22 weeks of creating an incredible vibe downtown for all to enjoy.
Thousands of people descended on North Third Avenue in Oakdale during the course of the Saturday morning market event, enjoying the opportunity to shop from vendors, young entrepreneurs, and local businesses.
For the final week, guests enjoyed great food, sang along to the music of Sweet Mama Rachel, got creative in the Kids Corner, and gathered with friends and family. Sons Farm Fresh donated beautiful pumpkins to create the perfect backdrop for family portraits by marketing specialist Mindy VanTil while adults and children competed in apple bobbing, donut grab, and a pie eating contest.
Organizers Roxanne Simons and Lisa Kjeldgaard are thrilled with the success of market, noting they are grateful for the response from the community, and are already planning for the 2024 Season which opens May 4.
The Oakdale Morning Market, which welcomed visitors and vendors from through the region, is a project of Love Oakdale and proceeds further the organization’s work of serving the people and places of the city.
