With elements of both a street fair and a carnival, organizers of the Riverbank Youth Baseball Softball Association, RYBSA, hosted their Closing Day Ceremonies on the ball field on California Avenue on Saturday, May 20.

There were vendor tents set up on the outfield grass, with jewelry, art work, crafts and food available. Also, there were bounce houses and other activities, with a variety of games – other than the baseball and softball kind – for youngsters to enjoy throughout the day. Dozens of teams played games during the rec season and most turned out to take part in the Saturday festivities.

It was also an opportunity to ‘make up for lost time’ in a way, as the Opening Day Ceremonies for the teams earlier this spring were rained out. For the official Closing Day, the teams were introduced, with the opportunity for parents and friends to take end of season group photos.
