Riverbank players, both baseball and softball, saw their final 2018 action this past week, both with home games. Both teams played Modesto Christian High School and both teams won.

Graduating seniors were recognized by Bruins Boosters at the Lady Bruin softball game on Tuesday, May 8, before their last game of the season, at home against the Modesto Christian Lady Crusaders, winning 10-5. Boys baseball notched a similar ending on Wednesday, May 9, winning a long game, with the Boosters celebrating senior players before that game, as well.

The boys won their contest, 13-11, in a slower-paced finale, preventing some of the players from being at the Honors and Awards program on time at the Ray Fauria Gymnasium on campus, but ultimately, all received the credit, and the awards, due them by the end of the evening.

Meanwhile, the Bruin tennis team closed out their season in style, bringing home the coveted Section blue banner.

The co-ed tennis team brought back the Division II Sac-Joaquin Section Championship Banner following its tournament win Wednesday, capping an outstanding season.

Those seniors also arrived late for the awards program, but they got there just the same.
