A pair of relative newcomers and a group of familiar favorites will each take the spotlight this summer.

The Stanislaus County Fair welcomes country favorites and award-winning duo Maddie & Tae on Monday, July 15 and The Marshall Tucker Band on Thursday, July 18.

Enjoy the performance of Maddie & Tae on the Coors Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. on July 15. The concert will be hosted by KAT Country 103 and is free with the price of Fair admission.

“We are excited to have this sensational young female country duo at our fair this year,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “They have amazing hits that I know our guests are going to love!”

Maddie & Tae became only the third female duo in 70 years to top the country airplay charts, also earning trophies from the Country Music Academy (CMA) and Radio Disney Music Awards along with multiple Academy of Country Music (ACM), CMA and Country Music Television (CMT) Award nominations. Most recently, the platinum selling duo released their new co-written single, “Friends Don’t,” for their upcoming album to be announced on Mercury Nashville. Maddie & Tae first broke out in 2013 with their brilliant take down of bro-country, “Girl In A Country Song,” which took Country radio by storm, skyrocketing to the top of the charts and quickly going platinum.

The Marshall Tucker Band will be performing on the Coors Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. on July 18. The concert will be hosted by 104.1 The Hawk and is free with the price of Fair admission.

“The Marshall Tucker Band is known for their unique country rock sound,” said Alkhas, “but they are sure to bring a little bit of blues, country, and jazz giving our guests an eclectic sound.”

Today, the band records on its own Ramblin’ Records Label (distributed by Sony/RED Music) and continues to release new and previously unreleased material. Still led today by founding member and lead singer Doug Gray, they represent a time and place in music that will never be duplicated. Gray is quick to credit the band’s current dynamic members with carrying on the timeless essence of The Marshall Tucker Band sound. Years of rigorous tour schedules earned the band the respect of critics and countless dedicated fans. With hit singles like “Heard It In a Love Song,” “Fire On The Mountain,” “Can’t You See,” and “Take The Highway,” The Marshall Tucker Band earned seven gold and three platinum albums while they were on the Capricorn Records label. During the ‘90s, the band scored four hit singles on Billboard’s country chart and one on Billboard’s gospel chart.

The 2019 Stanislaus County Fair opens Friday, July 12 for a 10-day run. Fair guests can count on an award-winning experience that has been over 108 years in the making. Discounted Fair admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands, and the Fair season pass will be on sale beginning Saturday, April 20, 2019.
