Virtual Youth + Family Programs
‘Wee Wednesday From Home’ is offered every Wednesday in November and December, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. via Zoom.
Join in digitally for a fun story time, art chat, and opportunity for our youngest art fans to engage and interact with one another. Designed for children ages 3 to 5 with active adult participation, each week we engage through Zoom and explore a different work of art through dialogue and interactions that encourage visual literacy, social-emotional skills, and creative confidence. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a seasoned educator or parent tossed into the world of distance learning: We could all use a little breath of fresh art. Each month, the Official Rogue Book Club brings together readers, art-lovers, and special guests to discuss books that inspire us to look at art and life in new, unexpected ways. This month, the club is taking on a classic: The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde. Selected for its “mesmerizing tale of horror and suspense,” The Picture of Dorian Grey ranks as one of Wilde’s most important creations and is a classic achievement within its genre. Now a celebrated work — and Wilde’s only novel — it “forged a devastating portrait of the effects of evil and debauchery on a young aesthete in late-19th-century England”.
