The streets in the City of Action are patrolled by Riverbank Police Services and there were many arrests made during the past week. Listed below are details on some of the calls the deputies dealt with during their shifts.

Staff noted that the Community Resource Deputy and Police Chief are making regular contact with the homeless population to ensure they are receiving available resources and the services they need. The interactions have been overwhelmingly positive. They will continue to check in on a consistent basis with the group to ensure they help coordinate resources.

On Monday, March 1 during the early morning hours, deputies were dispatched to the 3400 block of Stanislaus Street on the report of fight. Joseph Boatman, 29, was arrested for a violation of his probation after he was found to be in possession of bear mace.

During the morning on Monday, deputies received a report of a subject trying to enter a backyard in the 3500 block of Sierra Street. Deputies located and arrested a 34-year-old for public intoxication.

Near midnight on Sunday, Feb. 28, deputies arrested a subject near the area of Oakdale and Patterson roads for a domestic violence restraining order violation.

In the late morning hours on Saturday, deputies were dispatched to the 6700 block of Lynch Avenue on a report of an internet monetary scam. The victim is out $500, said authorities, and there is currently no suspect information.

Deputies responded to a non-injury collision near Oakdale and Crawford roads around midnight on Friday, Feb. 26. The driver of one of the vehicles involved threw a firearm from the vehicle. Deputies located a loaded handgun and arrested a 26-year-old subject for possession of a loaded firearm in public.

On Thursday, Feb. 25 in the morning, deputies responded to the 3600 block of Castlepark Drive on the report of a dispute. After their investigation deputies arrested a 30-year-old in connection with the incident.

During the afternoon on Thursday, deputies observed an ATV driving recklessly on the roadway near Roselle Avenue and Minniear Avenue. The ATV was stopped and the driver, a 24-year-old, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The subject was arrested for DUI and driving an ATV on the roadway.

In the midafternoon on Thursday, deputies responded to the Home Depot on a theft of plants. The suspect was loading expensive plants and small tress into a white Dodge van and when confronted by patrons, fled the area. The suspected vehicle was registered out of the Los Angeles area. This case is currently under investigation.

Also midafternoon, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Crawford and Oakdale roads, to a collision with unknown injuries. Deputies determined there were three vehicles involved with no injuries reported.

Deputies were dispatched to a minor injury traffic collision in the 3500 block of Atchison Road on Thursday evening, Feb. 25. Two vehicles were involved and had to be towed from the scene. All parties refused medical treatment.

Late in the evening on Feb. 25, deputies were dispatched to the 5900 block of Claus Road on a domestic incident. After their investigation, a 28-year-old was arrested in connection with the case.

On the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 24, deputies were dispatched to the 6100 block of Wainwright Drive on the report of a subject reporting suspicious and bizarre activity. Deputies contacted a 27-year-old man and determined he was under the influence of illegal drugs and was unable to care for his own safety. He was arrested for public intoxication.

During the mid-morning on Wednesday, deputies stopped Harold Beck, 27, near Oakdale Road and Cedarwood as he is on active probation. Beck was found to be in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia. He was arrested and booked into jail.

Deputies stopped a vehicle for vehicle code violations in the 3700 block of Iowa Avenue on Wednesday evening. The driver, a 44-year-old man, was found to be in possession of illegal drugs, he was arrested and booked.

On Tuesday, Feb. 23 in the morning, deputies were dispatched to the area of Second and Stanislaus Streets on the report of a male armed with a handgun. Deputies located a subject matching the description; the 25-year-old man was found to be in possession of bb handgun, he was arrested for brandishing a replica firearm and violation of probation.

On Tuesday afternoon, detectives served an arrest warrant in the 2700 block of Allegiance Lane and arrested a 34-year-old man for possession of child pornography.

During the evening on Feb. 23, deputies stopped a vehicle for vehicle code violations near Eighth and Atchison streets. The driver, a 23-year-old man, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
