This Friday, Feb. 1 is the last opportunity for parents to sign up their young softball or baseball players for the coming season.

The sign-up is scheduled on Friday, Feb. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the snack bar at Castleberg Park, 5845 Eighth St., Riverbank.

RYBSA officials say they’re looking for players of all ages and parents registering their youngsters will be required to bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate and be prepared to pay their fees.

T-ball teams are made up of players 4 to 6 years of age. The fee is $90. Players must be 4 years old on or before April 30.

The other divisions are 6- to 12-year-olds ($100) and 13- to 15-year-olds ($110).

Opening day is scheduled for March 23. Last year, the Opening Day parade and activities got rained out.

Baseball team ages, on or before April 30, 2019, are: T-Ball, 4-6 years old; Rookies, 7-8; Minors, 9-10; Majors, 11-12 and Pony, 13-15.

For softball, it’s T-ball, 4-6; 8 and Under; 10U; 12U and 14U.
