Four local residents seek Grand Jury posts

Three Oakdale residents and one Riverbank resident are among the candidate pool for the 2026-27 Stanislaus County Civil Grand Jury.

Scheduled for Tuesday, June 30 at 8:30 a.m. in Department 24 of the Stanislaus Superior Court, Judge Sonny S. Sandhu will preside over the selection and swearing in of the 19 grand jurors who will serve on the 2026-2027 Civil Grand Jury. The selection list is comprised of 23 candidates.

They include Bianca Signorelli, Chad Homme and Michael Eggener of Oakdale, along with Kenneth Cosner of Riverbank.

Also seeking appointment are Modesto residents Allan Conan, Anthony Gori, Charlene Cano, Clayton Franco, Glenn Lewis, Jaime Rangel, James Felt, John Herlihy, Pamela Crisp, Samantha Houchins, Timothy Buchanan, Timothy Moran and William Houchins. Also, Albert Baptista, Larry Sanders, Marlinda Martins and Richard Foster of Turlock; Elizabeth Olson of Patterson; and Maria Castillo of Ceres.

The Civil Grand Jury members serve for one fiscal year, and all are required to attend a two-day training session sponsored by the California Grand Jury Association, a not-for-profit educational organization. The training this year is scheduled on July 9 and 10 in Modesto.
