A new year has brought a new season for Riverbank’s Ballet Folklorico troupe. Although the first session of the year is underway, there is still plenty of time to sign up for the three others scheduled between now and a recital in May. Lessons are hosted at the Community Center on Monday evenings.

This first session runs through Jan. 29, with the second going from Feb. 5 through Feb. 26. The third session is March 5 to March 26, while the fourth session is April 2 through April 30.

The sessions are $35 each, broken down to Beginners, 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Intermediate, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and Advanced, (with instructor approval), from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The recital will be held on Cinco de Mayo, at the city’s Plaza del Rio Park, Third and Santa Fe streets, across from City Hall North.
