Three Korean women, two of them scantily clad, ran out the back door and a naked man was found in one of the rooms when a sheriff's deputy entered a downtown massage establishment on Friday afternoon, according to the Riverbank Police Chief.

Deputy Jesus Sigala was visiting the K Spa on Santa Fe Street only to ensure operators knew of the city's new massage establishment ordinance. But he then concluded he had interrupted a misdemeanor in violation of the city's business code and massage establishment regulations, said Chief Tim Beck.

"The outside door was open but the inside door was closed," said Beck. "The deputy rang a bell. A small window opened. When the woman saw him she yelled in Korean and three women ran out the back door."

Police arrested one of the three, who gave her name as Ran Hong, 42, of Los Angeles, on suspicion of working at the spa as an unlicensed massage practitioner. She also had no identification and reportedly confessed she was an illegal alien and so was held for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service to determine her status.

"We found a naked gentleman in one of the rooms who said he'd heard he could get sexual favors there. He said this was his second visit and he was disappointed," said Beck.
