AVF Flags

American Veterans First (AVF) posted up 13 American flags outside their Riverbank building on Monday, Aug. 30 to honor the 13 service members that were killed recently in Kabul, Afghanistan. CEO Duke Cooper; Alan Taylor, World War II combat veteran; and Jonathon Benjamin, an Iraqi interpreter for the United States Army shown here, noted that they are disappointed, frustrated and angry about the situation in Afghanistan. In support of Afghan veterans and the 13 fallen soldiers AVF will host an event called “We the people” on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. which Cooper stated is to remind the public of the recent events and the tragedy on 9/11 and that those who fought for our freedoms are not forgotten. There will be guest speakers and refreshments.
