For the eighth time, Riverbank High School’s Athletic Boosters organization hosted their annual fundraising crab feed in Oakdale over the weekend.

The event was staged in the F.E.S. Portuguese Hall in neighboring Oakdale, where it has been for the past few years, having outgrown the Riverbank Community Center where it started.

The feed is a major fundraiser for the boosters, who use their money to help provide equipment for sports teams at Riverbank High School, as well as small scholarships for senior athletes.

In addition to the headlining crab, the dinner menu included shrimp, tri tip, pasta, salad and dinner rolls, along with an evening of fun, dancing and raffles.

The event featured nearly four dozen raffles, undertaken at the end of the dinner, and there were 45 sponsors that helped put on the event. Their logos were displayed on place mats at each dinner setting.

After all the raffles were awarded, they put away the tables and cleared the dance floor. DJ Ernie with Good Vibe Entertainment provided the tunes, with many attendees staying to enjoy the music and dancing.
