This past weekend saw slightly lower temperatures in the Central Valley, but the Stanislaus River at Jacob Myers Park remained a place to play, top photo, while cooling off in the region’s final summer vacation days for kids. At side, boaters and rafters share the boat ramp as they get set to launch on the river. Classes for youngsters are now in session, schools opening up today, Aug. 10.
