With the New Year come new opportunities on the basketball courts of Riverbank High School.

And there’s still an opportunity to sign up, if your student is in third grade or higher, according to Bruin Booster officials. They report that grade one and two youth basketball clinics are completely full but there’s room remaining for older students, up through eighth grade, to take part.

The two weeks of clinic workouts will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Ray Fauria Memorial Gymnasium on the Riverbank High School campus.

The Youth Basketball program is sponsored by RHS and staffed by current and past players and coaches. Officials say it’s designed for students in first through eighth grades. The registration fee is $55 per child and the program includes a T-shirt and a basketball.

The schedule consists of two clinics and four games for a total of six weeks. The Youth League will run every Saturday, starting on Jan. 6, running through Feb. 10.
