Riverbank Senior Athletes Receive Honors, Scholarships

A number of student athletes graduating this past week at Riverbank High School have received scholarships and other honors to finish off their senior year.

Mia Vidal Vigil received the State Seal of Biliteracy, National Honor Society, the Rebecca Hendry Memorial Volleyball Scholarship, the Riverbank Language Academy Scholarship, the Principal’s Scholastic Achievement Award, the Coaches Athletic Service Award and an Athletic Boosters Scholarship.

Miguel Garcia received a Kristina Martinez Memorial Scholarship and Coaches Athletic Service Award.

Dayanara Elixis Ruvalcaba also received a Kristina Martinez Memorial Scholarship, a Golden State Seal of Merit, and Trans-Valley League Scholar Athletes Award.

Livi Fernandez received the National Honor Society Award, Outstanding Senior Athlete, Principal’s Scholastic Achievement and a Riverbank Teachers Association Scholarship.

Diego Miguel Felix was recognized as an Outstanding Senior Athlete, and received the Joaquin Beltran Felix Memorial Scholarship.

STUDENT ATHLETES
Two graduating seniors at Riverbank High School have been named as Outstanding Student Athletes this year. Diego Felix and Livi Fernandez both received plaques at the Honors Assembly hosted in mid-May. Felix played basketball and ran several events in track this year, and Fernandez has been a four-year basketball player. Ric McGinnis/The News
