Animals In Desperate Need Of Adoption

Unplanned litters of puppies and kittens have created a pet overpopulation problem and crowded conditions at local animal shelters, including the Oakdale Animal Shelter. A solution is possible and starts with getting pets spayed or neutered.

The Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance sponsors a spay/neuter voucher program to assist local residents with fixing their pets. During the months of June and July, a special dog voucher offer will be available to residents living within the 95361 or 95367 zip code areas. The usual low income requirement for dog vouchers is being waived for this limited time offer. The offer is available to the first 40 dogs. Dog vouchers cost $40 each (cash only), and proof of residency is required (driver’s license or California ID with current address, or current utility bill). Some restrictions apply. The vouchers are valid for spay/neuter services only at ACT Spay Neuter Clinic in Stockton. Free shuttle service for your pet is available.

For more information about obtaining vouchers, call 209-543-5434.
