The Athletic Department at Riverbank High School has announced a new event this month, an alumni soccer tournament.

RHS Athletic Director Juan Harvey said the competition will be a 7-on-7 affair, taking place over the weekend of May 13 and 14.

“Teams have been put together and registered from classes spanning all the way back to 1999, up to a team made up of the class of 2021,” Harvey explained. “Former players are excited to get back to the field one more time with former teammates, friends, and in some cases, players from different generations.”

The current players are excited to see the players that came before them compete, according to Harvey.

The games will start on Friday evening, May 13, at 5 p.m. and continue at noon Saturday, with the championship contest scheduled for 6 p.m.
