A portion of Westgate Drive – formerly Crawford Road – between Roselle Avenue and Prospectors Parkway, remains blocked off in the westbound lane as work continues on the lift station just inside the corner there. Several pieces of equipment can be seen over the wall, while a large piece of machinery blocked that lane. Originally scheduled to finish by Monday, May 9, the gear was still in place over the past two weekends, with signage indicating that detours will remain in effect through Wednesday, May 25. The road is blocked 24 hours a day, including weekends, during the work period. Detours were set up, but most significantly affected parents who normally used the route to drop off and pick up their students from Crossroads Elementary School, blocks away, on Prospectors.
